結局、抽象画の場合は、正解がないから、これはもうとことんやるしかない。
自分の中で、何かがストンと腑に落ちた時に、通常サインをする訳だけれども、それが果たして正解であるのかどうかは、作家本人も含めて誰にもわからない。
したがって、この抽象画の仕事はエンドレスになる。
そこで、僕が今考えていることは、自らの本然や天分に忠実であれ、ということです。
時々僕は、アーティストが自ら自身に対して忠実であるよりも、世間に対してより忠実になっているのではないかなと感じることがあります。
さらに僕は、自らの本然や天分を、自らの出自と言い表してもよいかもしれないなと思います。

In the end, when it comes to abstract paintings, there is no right answer, so I have no choice but to do it as hard as I can.
I usually sign when something makes perfect sense to me, but no one, including the artist himself/herself, knows if it’s the right answer or not.
Therefore, this abstract painting work becomes endless.
So, what I am thinking now is to stay true to one’s own nature and one’s natural gifts.
Sometimes I feel like artists are being more loyal to the society than they are being true to themselves.
Furthermore, I think it might be better to describe one’s own nature and one’s natural gifts as one’s own origins.
